Postcrossing 11: Seinäjoki, Finland
One ‘gloomy’ but realistic piece of art aptly entitled “Talvimaisema” painted in 1963 by a famous Finnish artist named Eero Nelimarkka. In english the painting is called “Winter View”. To learn more about the artist and his paintings, check out the Nelimarkka Museum.
I like it a lot, Sari! Thank you. I love the unique stamp – the image ‘moves’! Well, it’s a hologram in 3D. When you move it, gives one the effect that the image is actually moving too! Cool 😉

Just found your site thru Entrecard and I’M LOVING IT!
I was going to tell you about “Postcrossing” then I saw what you wrote here.
I found Postcrossing thru ANOTHER EC blog about a week agon and sent my first postcard to Jenni in Finland just a few days ago!
I’ve been collecting postcards for many years, since I was a kid.
I did a little research a few years ago and found out that collecting postcards is the #3 collecting hobby – right after Stamps & Coins.
If you collect postcards, you are a Deltiologist! Isn’t that cool? It has a name, just like collecting stamps & coins do. 🙂
OK, I’m easily amused. I admit it!
I’m sending you a postcard (or 2 or 10!) so look for in the that next week or so.
I have so many images to share!
Enjoy,
Pam Hoffman

Hi Pam!
We’re deltiologist! I really haven’t thought that postcard collectors would have a name like the numismatists and philatelists! Our dad taught us those two other words early on as kids because he is one…
Learn something new everyday! Thanks for that factoid! I get easily excited too- still a kid at heart!! LOL 🙂
And thank you for stumbling on my site! I look forward to those postcards. please send your address with it (I won’t post it 😉 ) so I can also send something back!
Cheers!
-Mae.
